Hello, my name is Kim Zember. I was raised in the small town of Fallbrook, CA. I am the youngest of three children. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to go to Africa, for no real reason more than I wanted to play with the children there.

Following my high school graduation, I began my career in real estate, which is where I met, my now dear friend dominic. Throughout the years I have been blessed with an amazing career. I have had the opportunity to make a living for myself I would have never imagined, but it was not enough. Every year I would strive to make more and more money, and each year when I met my goal, I was still unfulfilled. Until the day I met Frank, my world turned upside-down. Everything in the last few years I thought that mattered and that was important in life, I came to realize was only brushing the surface of what life really has to offer. Frank tells me he fell in love with who I was on the inside, not my material things I had. In turn, I began to feel like everything I had worked for was almost pointless. I then came to realize it was not pointless it was just that my priorities were off from what my heart truly desired. Instead of being upset with how I had been living my life, I decided to CHANGE!

I revisited those thoughts I had long ago about Africa and gave it a shot. I told Frank I wanted to go. Not to my surprise, he was very supportive and wanted to join me. We left our desire in the Lords hands and about three months later I ended up in Ethiopia
I had a profound and life changing experience, so much that I returned again, this time with Frank a month and a half later. During that trip Frank and I made a life changing decision that would bring us to Africa for far more than I ever imagined.

This is when I realized what a deeper meaning of life was for me.
